Don’t let fear stop you…

I had a vulnerable meeting with my owoafara team on Monday and I opened up to them about something I have never shared publicly for years…

….

I told them the reason I had not become a Multi-millionaire before now despite the fact that I had started and run 2 relatively successful businesses in the last 10 years.

…

The reason…it’s the four letter word: F.E.A.R.

…

You see, I was always afraid of failure and rejection as an entrepreneur because my parents were civil servants.They always encouraged us to get and stick to a stable Job.

…

I tried my best to conform especially because it seemed best suited for my introverted nature, but alas entrepreneurship was what set my soul on fire!

…

I spent many years going in and out of careers trying to fit in, but I couldn’t stick long enough 

…

So when I started my last two businesses, I was very cautious. I did not want to fail so they wouldn’t say; I told you so!

….

I drove with my hand breaks up(a quote I got from Les Brown). Even though I worked really hard for years (great work ethic imbibed in us by my parents). I never quite took many risks or pushed myself to the fullest.

…

I was always trying to reach the ceiling with one hand and the second hand planted on the floor (just imagine that for a moment 🤣)

…

The result: relative success… relative impact…

…

Yes people reach out to me and say; you have been such a blessing in my life, but I knew there was so much more I could be and do if I could just release the handbrake and live to the fullest of what God has called me to be.

…

This has changed because; I came to the realization of who I really am.

 

I am created in the image of the Creator. Nothing is stopping me if I don’t stop myself!

….

So I told my team on Monday; we are no longer playing small! Playing small does not serve our world to the highest level.

…

Our light is going to shine brighter and we are going to make bigger impact and build a great Company while at it!

….

Dear friend, have you let fear stop you from living to your fullest potential? It’s time to step up and  no longer be a slave to fear.
