I had an uncomfortable experience on Sunday. I went for an event where I heard a speaker speak who debunked some of the excuses I had being making to myself!.

I have been on a mindset makeover journey for the last couple of years especially in the area of business and finances..

For close to a decade before my mindset makeover journey, all I wanted to do was make a difference in the world..

I Organized a lot of advocacy events that brought hundreds of people together with the goal of empowering them to change their lives and businesses..

My fulfillment tank was always full after such events, but my bank account was always empty!.

After years of this happening consistently, I knew something was wrong! Something had to give!.

That was when I begun my mindset makeover work..

I started to read books and take courses on Mindset and how it affected me in the areas of finances and business. I uncovered some mindset blocks that were stopping me..

You will be shocked by the kinds of things that can stop you..

One of my major mindset blocks which I discovered when I took a course last year was something my Father used to say innocently when I was growing up; ‘Why are you in a hurry to make money?’..

Subconsciously I found myself slowing ‘my self’ down from making money quickly!.

The day I discovered this mindset block and I worked to overcome it, my income doubled in just a few weeks!.

Now before I go back to the story of the lady that made me uncomfortable, I have some good news to share with you; I started a new podcast!.

In my book Uplevel, I wrote about finding mediums for your message, and my 2nd favorite medium which I have neglected for sometime is audio. .

My goal with this podcast is to teach-share short yet impactful business lessons..

Now back to my story and the statement the Lady made that made me uncomfortable. She said we had to become very comfortable with talking about “BIG MONEY”..

She went ahead to give us some examples of how her business is now worth millions of dollars in a few short years because she is constantly focused on profit and influence..

Why did the statement make me uncomfortable? Because she put the two words which I had thought were difficult to mix in one statement; Money and Influence(this means mass impact to me)..

I had always thought if you were looking to influence or serve massively, then you could not focus on money at the same time..

She debunked my mindset effortlessly!.

And she also reminded me why I started hosting the Business growth master class: Mastering the inner game..

I have seen several business owners struggle with this concept of building high impact yet profitable businesses. This struggle has translated to limiting how much revenues they are able to make no matter how hard they work! .

External hard work will yield little if you have not mastered the inner game of business growth and success..
