You know the times in life where coincidences seem to occur every where you are; it could be a juxtaposition of a book you are reading, a statement you hear or just an idea percolating in your mind..

I had one of those moments..

As we were planning our calendar for the end of the year, my Client service team member brought a book she had being reading that I had eyeballed. The title is ‘the year of Yes’ by Shonda Rhimes..

I was excited to read it because Shonda is a beautiful story teller with hit shows like Grey’s anatomy, scandal, private practice and how to get away with murder..

I needed a dose of her story telling mojo :-).

As I dived into the book, I was not disappointed as she regaled me with funny stories that made me laugh till tears fell from my eyes..

At the same time, she shared her lessons in ways that pricked my heart and made me realize that I had to say YES some more…..

So I said YES to a few speaking engagements I would other wise have turned down because I could not ascertain WIIFM….(Do you know what that means?).

I also said YES to some private considerations of people and things that I had swept under the carpet (Sorry I can’t share details :-)).

So what do you have to say YES to?.

Another interesting coincidence is what the acronym Y.E.S means to business owners especially as we enter the last lap of the year..

Y.E.S actually means Year End Sales. Statistics have shown that most retail brands make two third of their whole year sales in this last quarter, so Y.E.S cannot be ignored..
