By my headline, you can guess I am feeling a bit mischievous…..
I must confess that at first I was trying to get your attention, but truthfully I like word association and a few things triggered the heading and I will share them with you:.
1. A few years ago, a very controversial book titled 50 shades of grey came out, it garnered alot of attention because it was openly promoting what had previously being a secret sexual lifestyle known as bondage.
The religious folks condemned it, the feminists criticized it for demeaning women and the controversy drove the book into the New-York times bestselling list and gave a first time author remarkable fame and wealth!
Why do I know so much about it? Because my soon to be realized dream is to write a book that gets such critical acclaim, and no; it won’t be about bondage, most likely about business. Lol..
2. A few months ago, I got a call from the CEO of one of the fastest growing upscale fashion retail multi-brand stores named Grey Velvet( Notice the play of words). She had heard about my work as a business growth expert and strategy consultant and I ended up working with the team to develop a strategy to overhaul and then grow their online sales.
It was a good experience because I was able to demonstrate a valuable lesson I always share; businesses are usually too close to their product to get an objective view of what the customers want..
3.
